Robinson Reunion Ideas Page

"I still think a simple western theme would be fun and we should go for it.  I have an authentic horse saddle that I can bring to take pictures with the kids on it. 

Just some ideas that we can recommend that the family consider:

Bandannas, cowboy hats, boots (shit kickers), even Mexican sombreros, ponchos and colorful shawls for the women would be fun.  In the old west they had saloon girls and I bet that some of our younger nieces have costumes that would fit the bill (boas, shiny-flashy costumes, etc.).  Maracas are also an idea to entertain the chillins’ while they are outside only.  We can set-up a table to play poker to go with the saloon idea.  I can have mom bring her portable DVD player and play some of John Wayne’s movies.  We also can get some country western music to play on a stereo, mine has cassette and CD.

You probably should consider that the kids, especially the boys, will want to bring their six shooters so you may want to decide if we should mention that they can or cannot bring their 'irons' to the reunion."
